9/5/12 - The RBC 2012 Old Salts overnight event is coming up on Saturday 19th of May. Please see the 'Events - Current' page for details of this event.

1/5/12 - The club will no longer be hosting Friday Night Meals on a weekly basis. Effective Friday 4th of May, the club will only be open for Friday Night Meals on the first Friday of each month. Please see the 'Events Calendar' page for meal night dates for remainder of 2012.

30/4/12 - The next RBC Working Bee is coming up soon - Saturday May 26th....you can find all the details on either the 'Downloads' page or the 'Working Bees' page. We are looking for a good rollout in numbers...so please mark the date down in your calendar!

23/4/12 - Interested RBC Members are welcome to join an ANZAC Day march leaving from the Little Ship Club at Dunwich at 10:00am, followed by drinks at the Straddie RSL, then back to the Little Ship Club for lunch and refreshments. Contact Paul Pryor for details 0418 739808.

23/4/12 - The trip to Amity for Sunday Brunch saw 8 member boats and around 25 people meet on the beach at Amity Point for a day of food, fun and great weather. 18/4/12 - FLY YOUR FLAG Campaign - See details on the 'Downloads & Articles' page. The Commodore encourages all members to take pride in your club and to fly your RBC flag on your boat.


18/4/12 - The RBC 2012 Fishing Comp #4 results are now available on the 'Downloads & Articles' page.

11/4/12 - The 2012 RBC Easter Mystery Bay Cruise was extemely well attended with some 18 vessels joining the fleet for a fantastic long weekend of great weather and fun. The Cruise Director 'Scott', lead the fleet to Days Gutter for the first destination stop. The fleet stayed at anchor in Days Gutter for 2 nights and took advantage of the afternoon exposed sand banks to play volley ball, cricket and the Saturday Evening Curry Cook Up. Sunday morning saw the fleet up-anchor and steam to Blakesleys for the final destination of the cruise. Special thanks to the Boating Events Committee for organising such a terrific event. 4/4/12 - The club will be closed for Friday Night Meals on Good Friday.

28/3/12 - The results of the 2011/2012 RBC Members Survey were presented at the Members Meeting on Tuesday 27th of March by Gary Bowden. Members that were not able to attend the meeting can view the presentation of the results, a copy of which is available on the 'Downloads & Articles' page.

26/3/12 - The 2012 Fishing Comp updated results have been posted to the 'Downloads & Articles' page. The results are the full version in Excel format so you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the document. 

25/3/12 - This month Members Meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th 7.30pm at the club.
- Members Survey results presentation
- General Business: Friday Nights, Annual Fees, Meal Vouchers, Working Bee, Compound Projects and Conditions of Entry.
The bar will be open, and pies and sausage rolls will be on sale at $2 each. All Members welcome.....see you there.

The RBC Crab Cook Out was held in conjunction with the Ladies Fishing Comp #1 weigh-in on Sunday at the club house. There was a great turn out, with plenty of fresh crabs, prawns and fish all brilliantly cook up by the resident Master Chefs from the Boating Events Committee team....and thank you to all those that caught and arranged the haul of grabs and seafood.........Great job Boys...the Ladies certainly appreciated your culinary skills. 28/2/12 - Members attending the Feb Members Meeting enjoyed a presentation from guest speaker John Gooding on chasing Mackerel, Wahoo and other species.

The RBC Members Survey is still open until 28th Feb for those members who have not yet completed it. To date, close to 50% of the membership have completed the survey. Please see the Members Survey page on the Menu list for details on how to take part.

11/2/12 - The RBC Days Gutter overnight boating event is on today (11/2/12) from 12 midday. Contact Andy for details on 0403 588 855.

4/2/12 - Due to recent weather the next two up coming boating events have been switched around. The Crab Cook Out will now be rescheduled around the end of March (date TBA - see web for updates). The Days Gutter overnight trip will be held on 11th Feb.

22/1/12 - RBC Members Survey Update - 18 Jan 2012 - A huge THANK YOU to the 156 members who have already taken the time to complete the on-line survey. Todate, that's fantastic and represents a 39% membership response rate.
The survey is open until midnight 28th Feb 2012, and we encourage all those members who haven't yet completed the survey to do so. It will take only 5-10 minutes of your time, and it is your opportunity to help provide us with your thoughts and suggestions for the future direction of the club.
Your responses are important to us, and as a management team, you will help us develop a focussed strategic plan for the next 1-3 years. This is your club, so make sure you have your say. If we can attain a 50% response that will be a truly fantastic effort on your part.
Once again, many thanks to all of you who have completed the survey todate, tight lines for 2012.

132 of the club members have completed the 'Members Survey', this represents 33% of the membership. The survey is open until the 28th Feb 2012, so there is plenty of time for you to have your say by completing the survey.

Happy New Year and a big thank you to those members who have taken the time to complete this years survey, your time and efforts are greatly appreciated.
A gentle reminder to those members who haven't
completed the survey, its open until 28 Feb 2012.
It will only take a few minutes of your time and its an opportunity for you as members to help provide direction for the club's future.
So far, 89 members have completed the on-line survey, that represents 22.5% of the clubs membership.

- Saturday Night saw the final event on the RBC 2011 Calendar with a Christmas Lights tour.



17/12/11 - The RBC Christmas Break Up evening was well attended...good food, DJ, dancing, good people and good fun! Thank you to all the volunteers for putting on a very enjoyable evening.

- The Qld Parks & Wildlife Service hosted an inform session presented by Steve Hoseck on the Moreton Bay Artificial Reefs at the November RBC Members Meeting. You can see much of the detail that Steve presented on the DERM website - see the link to the site on the Links page where you'll find maps, GPS coordinates and lots of interesting imformation.

 


21/11/11 - 144 FOB keys still to be collected. There are only 2 collection opportunities left before the new electric gates are operational. You can collect your FOB key at the Members Meeting Tuesday evening 22nd Nov or Friday night 25th Nov, after that you will not have access until you collect your FOB on any Friday night at the club up until 16th Dec.

12/11/11 - The next RBC Members meeting will be held 22nd Nov 7:30 PM at the clubhouse.  Come along and learn all about the Artificial Reefs of Moreton Bay in an information session presented by the Qld Parks & Wildlife Service. See Current Events page for details.

11/11/11 - Friday night at the club saw another well attended evening handing out more electronic FOB keys for the new compound gates.

9/11/11 - Unfortunately one of our members homes was broken into on Sunday 30th Oct and among other items a quantity of fishing gear was stolen. See Downloads page for a list of the items taken and what you can do to assist.

7/11/11 - Updated instructions in relation to the collection of the new FOB keys are available on the Newsletters and Downloads page - Members can collect their new keys on Friday Meals nights at the club. The last collection night is Friday 16/12/11. A cost of $55 will apply to any keys collected after this date.

5/11/11 - The first issue session of FOB keys for the new compound gates was well attended at the Friday Meals Night (4th Nov) making for a big night at the club. FOB key issue will continue over the coming Friday nights - see Newsletters and Downloads page for details.

23/10/11 - The RBC Fishing Presentation Night has been changed from Friday 25th Nov. to Sunday 27th of Nov. starting at 10:00am.
