Geoff Finegan passed away last Wednesday & his funeral will be held on Wednesday, the 27th of September, at 2 p.m. at Hemmant Lawn Cemetery, Hemmant/Tingalpa Rd, Hemmant & afterwards at Waterloo Bay Hotel Berrima St Wynnum. Geoff bought a life membership when we were in the last push to get the Redlands Boat Club clubhouse built. He was a committee member at the time. Geoff served the club as Rear Commodore (1987 - 1988) and Vice Commodore (1990 - 1991) Geoff's youngest Son and daughter-in-law were the first to be married at the club in 1994. "He suffered a rare neurological disease for the last 11 years, so his social & boating days were curtailed, but I think there will still be some who remember him, especially those who were tested by him for their recreational marine license."
