100 members and Guests celebrate RBC 40th anniversary

On Saturday the 7th of November, over 100 members and guests came together at the Grand View Hotel to celebrate the RBC’s 40th anniversary.

Inaugural Commodore Bruce King with 21st Commodore Mike Streets

The clubs 21st Commodore, Mike Streets was master of ceremonies with inaugural commodore Bruce King sharing a few stories about the history of the club.  We were also joined by our Deputy Mayor, Cr Alan Beard who talked about the clubs contribution to boating in the Redlands over it 40 year history.

The evenings formalities concluded with Bruce King cutting “the light house cake” created by Jennifer King.  We were honoured to have 6 of our Distinguished Life Members present and 12 of the 21 past commodores.

The management committee would like to thank all those who attended to celebrate the occasion with us.  We would also like the thank the staff at the Grand View Hotel who did a fantastic job of keeping us fed and watered and our Vice Commodore Rodney Winkleman for organising the event.
